PrivadoVPN is a Swiss based, up and coming Premium VPN provider, but how many servers and locations do they have, and where are they located? What countries and cities can you get an VPN IP address in using their service?
PrivadoVPN currently offer more than 300 unlimited Premium servers in 65 server locations in 48 countries, with the USA, Europe, and The Far East particularly well covered. A limited free version is also available, with servers in 12 locations in 10 countries, and a 10GB monthly data allowance.
In this regard, PrivadoVPN have a very similar server selection to Hide.me, another provider we’ve covered extensively on this site, with a decent (but not top of the range) list of server locations, and a good free version you can use to test the product out.
Let’s look at all the PrivadoVPN server locations – both Premium and free – in more detail, right down to the city locations, before comparing their offering to some other VPNs.

PrivadoVPN Free Server List
One great positive with PrivadoVPN is that they offer a generous free version of their service, with servers in 14 locations in 11 countries, plus a 10 GB/month data allowance.
Here’s a full list of the free server locations:
- USA – New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami
- UK – London
- France – Paris
- Germany – Frankfurt
- Netherlands – Amsterdam
- Switzerland – Zurich
- Canada – Montreal
- Mexico – Mexico City
- Brazil – São Paolo
- Argentina – Buenos Aires
This is actually a very good server selection for a free VPN, with Mexico, Brazil, Canada, France, UK and Switzerland in particular being locations hard to get with most other free VPNs. 10 GB a month is also a decent allowance, that equates to around 300 MB a day and could easily cover basic browsing, as long as there isn’t much video streaming.

Do PrivadoVPN Servers Work For Streaming?
PrivadoVPN openly admit they are more of a privacy and security focused VPN than a streaming focused one. They do not put much emphasis on allowing users to unblock geo-restricted streaming services like Netflix.
Here is their own statement on this, taken from their blog.
“Our primary focus of the VPN service we provide is to keep your Internet activity private and un-monitored by your ISP. Many streaming content providers began a widespread blacklisting of VPN providers which has affected all of the most popular VPN providers, including us. All previous attempts we’ve made to allow the service to function again has been met with an immediate response from them by blocking us immediately after.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause”.
Therefore, it is best to work on the assumption that PrivadoVPN will NOT reliably unblock streaming sites, since it’s not something they actively promote on their website. For this, ExpressVPN is the recommended VPN provider to use, even though it’s more expensive.
PrivadoVPN vs Other VPNs For Server Choice
PrivadoVPN is pretty much in the mid to lower end of the pack when it comes to server and country choice – there are VPNs that offer less server choice, but plenty that offer more server choice as well. 61 locations in 47 countries for $5/month ($2.50/month with our limited time special offer) is a decent selection and price, but there are also better ones available.
Here’s how PrivadoVPN stacks up against other major VPN’s in terms of country and server choice (links are affiliate links):
Provider | Price (12 months paid in advance) | Number of countries offered | Number of Servers Offered | Main Benefits |
---|---|---|---|---|
AtlasVPN | $3.29/month | 34 | 750 | Cheap price |
ZoogVPN | $2.99/month | 41 | 70+ | Cheap price |
TurboVPN | $5/month | 48 | 21,000 | Server choice |
Hide.me | $5/month | 46 | 160+ | Free version available |
ExpressVPN | $8/month | 94 | 160+ | Best country choice |
ProtonVPN | $6 | 63 | 1700+ | Reputable brand |
Private Internet Access | $3.33/month | 84 | 10,000 | Great value |
VyprVPN | $5/month | 64 | 700+ | Speed & Privacy |
NordVPN | $5/month | 60 | 5400+ | Reputable brand. |
*Flash deals and offers are very common, so you may often find a better deal than the one listed for many providers
If you’re looking for something that’s even more stripped down, with even fewer countries offered (just the main ones), but that’s also cheaper, then AtlasVPN is a good option.
Hide.me and TurboVPN are level pegging, offering a pretty similar server choice for a similar price to PrivadoVPN (40-50 countries at $5/month plans)
NordVPN, ProtonVPN and VyprVPN (around 60 countries) offer a little bit more server location choice for the same or a little more money.
If you’re looking for significantly more country choice, than Private Internet Access or ExpressVPN are good options, with the latter also being the recommended choice for users looking to access geo-restricted streaming services like Netflix (PrivadoVPN doesn’t reliably offer this)
Bottom line picks by criteria:
- Cost – AtlasVPN, ZoogVPN or Private Internet Access
- Interface/Ease of Use – PrivadoVPN (nice, clean, easy to use)
- Streaming Servers – ExpressVPN
- Server Choice – ExpressVPN or Private Internet Access.
